Alan Wake is our next play-along game! Share your thoughts here as you play

Alan Wake is officially our next play-along game — a big thanks to everyone who voted! The cheapest ways to buy it are linked below, but first, here's a summary of the premise yanked from Wikipedia, so you know what you're getting into:

The story follows best-selling thriller novelist Alan Wake as he tries to uncover the mystery behind his wife's disappearance during a vacation in the small fictional town of Bright Falls, Washington, all while experiencing events from the plot in his latest novel, which he cannot remember writing, coming to life.

Expect combat, psychological horror, and an episodic structure that lends itself well to cliffhangers.

Where to buy Alan Wake

PC players, you're in luck: if you act fast, you can pick up Alan Wake for a mere £3.49 / $4.49 on GOG. The system requirements are pretty low (check on the GOG page), so most laptops should be able to run it.

It's also available on Xbox One via backwards compatibility, and you can buy it from the Microsoft Store. Currently, it's £15 / $20.

You can discuss it by leaving comment below — I'll collate people's thoughts in an email next week (sign up at tinyletter.com/TheSlowPlay) — or on our Discord, which you can join once you've signed up to the newsletter.
