Let's play through the isolation together: suggest the next Slow Play game!

So, where to start?

First: I hope you're all well and coping as best you can with everything that's going on, wherever you are in the world. Hopefully this club, which I'll make sure is far more active in the coming months (more on that in a sec!), can be a space for some much-needed distraction, discussion, and socialising.

Second: Apologies for the radio silence over the past few months. Since we played The Witcher 3 in January, I've gone quiet (apart from popping up in our Discord every so often). A combination of work, life, and holiday has kept me away. So once again, sorry for that.

Third: It's more important than ever to try to connect with others over games, and to that end, I'd like to invite suggestions for our next Slow Play game. I'm looking, in particular, for uplifting, cosy games that can bring us a bit of joy, and leave plenty of room for discussion. Think amusing adventure games, deep RPGs where we get to shape our character, or puzzle games that give you a real sense of achievement.

Any and all suggestions are welcome. To suggest a game, you can:

I'll make a poll from the best suggestions, and send round a link so we can all vote early next week. The aim is to decide a game and start playing as soon as possible — ideally late next week.

In the meantime, please do hop into our friendly Discord to discuss... whatever you want!

Speak to you all soon, and take care.

As a reminder, The Slow Play is basically a book club, but for games, where we all play the same game over the course of a month and talk about our experiences in a friendly space. Check our our website, follow us on Twitter, and subscribe to our newsletter.
